Michelle Peña is a certified Hypnotherapist and a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists. She has always had a keen interest in the connection of the mind, body, and emotions, and how people can cultivate this relationship to better their lives. Michelle supports her clients to conquer habitual patterns, reframe belief systems and tap into emotional drives at a core level.
Michelle brings into her hypnotherapy work a knowledge and approach of 15+ year career in social work and psychology. She graduated from Concordia University with a BA in Psychology and a BA with Honours in Social Work from York University, designated as a member of the Dean’s Honour Roll. She is a Registered Social Worker and is in excellent standing with The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW). Michelle Peña is recognized for her work in helping children, youth and adults cope with stress, anxiety, emotional pain, gaining clarity, letting go of fear, developing a healthy self-image and finding greater peace.
She has spearheaded community initiatives on violence prevention, life skills, self-esteem, healthy relationships, and overall well-being. In addition, she successfully coordinated and led events to raise awareness on women’s health and well-being for YWCA Toronto’s Week Without Violence Conferences and Girls’ Health Matters Symposium as well as the Women’s College Hospital 100th Anniversary Celebrations.
Michelle Peña has also been trained in Applied Mindfulness Meditation and Transformative Mindfulness Meditation from the University of Toronto. She is a gifted healer certified in Rainbow Energy Healing with extensive training in Spiritual Arts, Positive Psychology and certified in the Tibetan inspired 16 Guidelines to Life, a program endorsed by the Dalai Lama based on direct and practical tools for anyone who wants to lead a happier, more meaningful life. Michelle ensures the journey she guides you through is unique to your needs. Her client’s report that she is compassionate, supportive and empowering.
